This question is from a member of our community that wishes to remain anonymous:
Since taking over as Secretary a couple of years ago I have been working to clear up the mess left by my predecessor. One item I discovered was that they had not required trustees to sign the statutory declaration(s). I have managed to get all but one trustee to do so but am at my wit's end with the final trustee. They either will not or can not sign the declaration.
We are on the verge of giving them notice that if they do not comply, they will be automatically disqualified as not having comp-lied with Companies Act and Charity Commission requirements.
Has anyone else come across this situation? How did you handle it?
