What happens to staff pay if the Charity Commission investigates?

I've just started charity application for CIO foundation model for our very small charity to help children with a very rare condition. I'm only applying as we have exceeded the £5,000 annual limit. I wondered if anyone could help with a couple of queries.
1) I've drafted our governing document but are the trustees meant to sign this (there is no space provided) or do I just attach the scanned signed trustee declaration?
2) the section "public donations" asks about procedures trustees have in place to verify donors and consider any conditions attached to donors. Is it sufficient to say we have a checklist to ensure donations comply with regulations or do I need to go into a lot of detail?
3) finally do they expect extra attachments and if so what?
