I am a councillor in Brentford, West London. We are a vibrant town, a mixture of well off middle class people and extensive council estates and a great mixture of people. A mile up the road is Chiswick, a more wealthy area, though still with a mixed  community. Chiswick has a much larger town centre shopping area whereas Brentford is in the middle of major redevelopment. Chiswick has at least 9 charity shops on the High Road and we in Brentford have... zero.

We are attracting some national shops - Gails, Specsaver, Holland and Barrett, Morrisons, Lidl and we are well served with pubs restaurants and cafes and independent chemists, greengrocers, convenience shops etc, but we lost our two charity shops during the redevelopment. There was a branch of (I may have this wrong) Age Concern and a small local charity, both evicted and missed.

As a local councillor I am convinced there would be plenty of interest in a charity shop.
