Legal rights when it comes to employee support

Hello, I am after a little advice regarding employee rights.
I work for a charity that is ran by a group of voluntary trustees who are obviously directors also. We have no HR department or union and was wondering who an employee could go to for employee support, especially if the trustees are working stating they have the charities best interests at heart not the employees.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
