I'd be really interested in your views about helping people de-stress in the workplace ...... For context, I feel that I work best when relaxed, but I like a bit of hustle & bustle around me. (Our office is very quiet with people working away on their computers, with a limited amount of conversation.) But today, I really feel the need to de-stress at work (after a family funeral this weekend) by listening to some tunes. But playing music in the office is sort of a "no-no". So, I've popped on my headphones and am working happily away, feeling more positive & motivated.... But I'd be really interested to know what measures other charities are taking to help their staff to feel comfortable at work, such as whether music is allowed? Or do you have a comfortable staff seating area, if staff need a time-out? I've heard some charities have a "chanting" mediation session each morning. So, what does your charity do well to create a great atmosphere? I'd love to hear your examples.
