We have just achieved our registration with Charity Commission (hooray!) and now trying to open a bank account. Most charity community accounts have a cap on income (>100,000) so from what we've understood, due to our expected turnover, we should aim to get a business account but with charity rates.
We've had a nightmare with Barclay's - poor customer service and some ridiculous documentation requests e.g. a utility bill from a rented office space - we don't rent office space etc. We're not keen on CAF either. We like Starling but they only offer charity accounts charities that are also companies and we are CIO. Metro Bank look good and have a £2m cap.
Has anyone got recommendations? Has anyone used MetroBank and are they good?
