NGO Partnerships

Martin Isajah Maganda CEO at ISAJAH CHILDREN'S TRUST Posted 5 years ago

Hello there my name is MARTIN ISAJAH MAGANDA from Uganda. My dream when I retire is to start a charity to help girls, women and the youth. I plan to use part of my social security savings to start the charity. I have already purchased land in my village and it is just enough to start with.
Iam looking at partnering with other NGOs especially INGOs. Iam looking at building a funding partnership. Iam looking at charity collaboration.  Collaboration is of particular importance to smaller charities who are looking for ways to create a sustainable long-term future.
Networking or clubbing together with other charities to be able to access training charities can really benefit. Learning from peers at events or online can help you to improve your skillset. You can even help to create more skills sharing within your organisation by running lunch and learn sessions with your colleagues.
There are many good reasons for NGOs to work together to reach a common goal. When each partner brings its own expertise and resources to a program the impact can be multiplied. The sum total of the partnership is worth more than what each NGO can achieve on its own. Donors know this and often promote or require NGO partnerships for this very reason.
I am seeking professional support to get my charity up and running. Iam also looking at registering in my country with the same names of the partner who will agree to work with me.
I want to first register as a Community Based Organisation, then I can register as a national NGO when the organization grows.
I would also like Charity Connect to help me like to indentify some INGOs that I can partner with.
I will be very grateful for your advice.
Many thanks,
Martin Isajah Maganda
