Switching from standing orders to direct debits

Hi there,
We have a membership element of our charity who have the option to pay by standing order/via PayPal/credit card over the phone.
We would like to offer the option of direct debits. GoCardless seem to be the popular choice. Does anyone have any other recommendations?
Any other advice on navigating the Direct Debit system much appreciated.
