I have enjoyed a career as an advertising and portrait photographer and along the way have worked with many agencies and directly with charities in many sectors. This is now the direction I am hoping to develop not least because it is the work that I enjoy and hopefully makes a significant difference . In these days of multi platforms and an overwhelming bombardment of images, does photography have a place in visual communication? I am increasingly asked to produce video and Ai assisted stills in the commercial sector and am concerned that charities shall follow.
Authenticity is key in this sector so I would expect quality stills to be used even more, but instead I am seeing smart phone images and video's used and the power of the communication seems to diminish or is that just me and a yearning for quality images that worked as the major asset for campaigns?
