Our 12 year old charity decided to transition to become a CIO. We registered the new CIO with the Charity Commission in March 2023 but it has taken a long time to complete the process due to slow responses from the bank to set up a new account. We are now ready and will be transferring assets and winding up the original charity next week.
When will the annual return be required? We will only start operating as the CIO from 11th June 2024 and would like our financial year to run from the start of Sept 24 to the end of August 25. So will our annual return be required within 10 months after the end of August 2025?
