We are a small mutual society under FSA rules. We are looking to move to new premises and have located an ideal property. Unfortunately, we have discovered that the landlord has chosen to charge Vat on his rental property, but we are not registered for Vat purposes as we do not have a trading arm. Has anyone get any advise on what we can do as we cannot afford to pay the Vat without being able to recover it!
