Other than not being disqualified to be a trustee our governing document does anyone have any guidance on who can and cannot be a trustee? Previous iterations were very prescriptive on who we had to have on the board.Â
As a trustee board, can we set out our own specifics that are not part of the governing document but part of the trustee recruitment and retention strategy e.g no more than x number of operational volunteers to be trustees, % number of trustees from specific geographical areas (we cover several local authority areas ) .Â
Help is appreciated as we are having some issues about volunteers as trustees and would like to find a solution.
