We are going through the process of transferring our charity from a unincorporated organisation to a CIO.  We have successfully registered the CIO and have a bank account set up and we're getting close to transferring the assets via a pre-merger vesting declaration.

Our assets include designated land held on trust by the Official Custodian of Lands (part of the Charities Commission), it is not registered with the Land Registry.

My question is whether the Vesting Declaration alone is sufficient for the Official Custodian of Lands to hold our land and building on trust for the new CIO in place of the existing unincorporated charity.  I also understand once transferred the land could transferred over to the CIO directly but this would result in a first registration with the Land Registry being required - is this correct.
