Hi, I live in Portsmouth and work in Wickham, which is a village in rural Hampshire. I attempt to run and I'm a leader at my running club (don't be too impressed - I lead the walking group!). I did manage to complete a marathon last year and raised money for Pancreatic Cancer Research, so the pain was worth it - won't be doing it again though....
I love to travel, and this summer my family were lucky enough to get to go to Sicily. So beautiful.
I've spent most of my working life in the public sector, so when I was made redundant, it was quite a shock to the system. I then found work managing a large community centre. Although it's a lot less money, and the associated leave and sickness are way less generous, it does feed my soul, and I can see the impact of what I achieve. I think the pay off is worth it!
