Qualified youth worker, working in the field of mental health for 15 years.  My practice and experience initially started out as therapeutic, providing support for young people with mental health problems in communities for a variety of UK charities.  Always taking a co-production approach to any work I did with young people, ensuring a sense of agency and control in their lives.  In 2014 I graduated with a Masters in Comparative European Social Sciences, for my thesis i compared 2 community based services for depression for 16-21-year-olds in London and Zagreb.  Upon my return, I became more focused on young people's roles improving, developing and delivering mental health services to young people.  In 2015 at DepaulUK we developed a mental health steering group of young people,  before joining YoungMinds as a Youth Engagement Officer, working with groups of Young Activists to improve young people's involvement in all aspects of mental health services.  A year later I joined Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, as their first full-time Participation Officer, in our first year, we recruited 13 new Young Champions and am currently involved in setting up a variety of opportunities and programs for young people's involvement across the organisation.

As well as this, I am in the Co-Director of not-for-profit Euro Youth Mental Health - working to empower young people across Europe in matters related to mental health, encouraging collaboration and sharing best-practice.  This is being set up in light of my Master's thesis, which showed a disengaged and defragmented focus on youth mental health across the continent and my passion to support and challenge where needed, in order to promote mental illness and prevent the impact of mental illness, with young peoples voices at the forefront.

Lastly I am available for freelance work presenting, facilitating and public speaking at events based on youth mental health.
