I'd be really interested to speak to someone or some people about their process for monitoring volunteer engagement and identifying touchpoints that are needed to see if volunteers still want to engage/ be involved/ hear about new opportunities.
In my organisation, some of The Charity's volunteer roles are regular and consistent but many are ad-hoc and can be done by volunteers in their own time, as they choose. We also have volunteers who consistently attend one event every year, but don't engage much in volunteering outside of this time.
I appreciate that there won't be a hard and fast rule for this, but I am trying to put more of a structure in place for re-engaging volunteers and understanding when is right to get in touch to see if they still want to be involved.
If anyone has thoughts on this or is further ahead in the process than me - it'd be great to know! :)
