I have been appointed by the "Chair" to the role of trustee/treasurer. Possibly due to my extensive experience with the arranging of loans and advising on legacy and estate planning issues. However I have pointed out that I am not an accountant and have no book-keeping experience nor am I too special when it comes to reading spread-sheets ! 

But perhaps due to the fact that the charity is tiny the "Chair" has taken the view that I will learn on the job. Nevertheless I would like to locate a book-keeping firm, or an accountancy practice that can assist on a pro bono basis. I understand that some firms are quite keen to have a junior staff member cutting their teeth with this kind of situation. 

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions then do please let me know.
