The bank is refusing to update our authorised signatories. What can we do?

Finance

Rondald james TRUSTEE at church Posted 9 months ago

We are the newly appointed board of trustees for a small, unincorporated UK-registered charity. We have not received a financial handover from previous trustees, and the bank is refusing to update the authorised signatories, despite submission necessary documentation.
Given these circumstances:
Can we, as an unincorporated charity, proceed to reconstruct the financial accounts with the help of a qualified accountant using best available information and submit them with an explanatory report?
Has anyone faced similar bank access issues as unincorporated trustees, particularly with te? How was it resolved?
