Best international money transfer providers?

Finance

Martyn Kemp Treasurer/Trustee at Rwanyana Community Trust Posted 4 years ago

Hi.
We are a small uk registered charity supporting a community project in SW Uganda.
To avoid seriously high bank charges we have been making our transfers direct to mobile money accounts using World Remit and Wave for the last couple of years. Initially World Remit accepted these transfers from our Charity Business Account directly, but later refused saying they only transferred from personal accounts. We therefore had to use an intermediary, and this has been explained to both our banks compliance unit and the charity commission.
Ideally we would like to transfer directly from our charity account. Does anyone have any advice for us, or know of a money transfer provider that allows transfers from charity business accounts.
Thanks
Martyn
