CharityConnect: Bringing people together online - is anyone interested in community management?
We all know how important it is to bring people together around our causes, helping to connect supporters, galvanise campaigners and develop new services or initiatives.
The work of bringing others together is called community management and has been slowly gathering momentum in the charity sector.
I've been an online community professional for 10 years and I've noticed more and more charities setting up forums, facebook groups, community networks and social media accounts. I've started a blog which may be of interest to some: https://goodcommunity.co.uk
More importantly, I'd love to connect with other people who are involved in building online communities. Let me know if you're involved in this work as I'd love to hear from you and the work that you're doing.
Is anyone else involved in community management? Are you thinking about community and not sure where to start?
