Hi everyone,
I've had an employee who has questioned what mileage they should be claiming when they travel from home to a meeting location (other than their principal place of business). In the corporate world, we would calculate the total trip and then deduct the number of miles that the employee would have travelled if they went to the office instead.
So if the meeting location was closer than the office they wouldn't be able to claim anything. If it was more, they could claim the additional miles.
Is this the same in the charity sector?
