Cancelling Trade Show Stand, Legal Advice Question
I was going to take a stand at the Business Show last June to help build our database of mentors and build brand awareness and had a couple of companies that where going to sponsor the costs.
Due to the pandemic the show has been moved twice and they are now saying they will run it in Nov 2021. We have now lost our sponsors due to the way covid has effected there business.
I have asked to cancel my stand and they have come back and said there is a 50% cancellation fee, then offered for me to do the 2022 show and pay a month prior to that show.
Where do I stand legally, as I was booked and my contract says June 2021 and I had not agreed to doing the show at a later date.
