I have over 10 years' experience in marketing and communications, but the last few years I have felt increasingly unsettled and recently decided to start looking at options for career change. I first looked at retraining, but still paying off my first degree and seeing that open university courses are £17k(!!!) I wondered whether the charity sector would be a good transition (with less expense on training) given my current skill set. I have just signed up to volunteer for a local hospice, but I'm looking for advice on how to make the transition to paid employment. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
