Hello! 

I'm in the process of researching DBS checks and whether or not our organisation should carry out DBS checks for UK staff. We are an international organisation with project work in Kenya. UK staff are solely Operations, Finance and Fundraising. We travel to Kenya for strategy and fundraising trips on an annual basis and would have limited interaction with our participants (mothers and babies) most likely in a health care setting. Would be interested to what other international charities practice and whether we should be getting Basic or Enhanced DBS checks for our staff members considering we don't have day-to-day exposure of vulnerable adults or children.
