I am just in the process of finalising the application to register my company as a CIC but have a few questions regarding the application process. If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it. They are...
- When deciding if we are 'limited by shares' or 'limited by guarantee', we were wondering if we can still apply for funding if limited by shares? And how do we make money if limited by guarantee? Just to ensure that we select the correct answer!
- As we are don’t have an office, is it safe to use our own home address as the company’s registered office address? Is this the same for the ‘principal place of business’?
- Our plan is to operate by facilitating workshops for young people. However, we don’t have any dates for workshops set in stone yet. Therefore, on the question that pertains to what date we plan to start trading, we have selected ‘no plans to start trading’ as our answer. Will we be more successful in our application if we do have a start date set?
- What is the ‘articles of association relevant to the company’?
