What can we add to the model CIO association constitution to enable online general meetings and members voting via a website?
I am surprised the model constitution still does not cover these. I suspect that many are doing these things, especially since they were temporarily allowed during the pandemic.
The only provisions in the constitutions are for trustee meetings by 'electronic means' and members voting by email, similarly to by post. So that doesn't cover general meetings and online votes (although the ballots do get delivered by email)
We would like to empower ourselves to hold general meetings via video conference and voting in elections and resolutions, in advance or on the day via websites such as Civica and ChoiceVoting.
Can anyone point to suitable clauses to enable these practices please?
