We are creating a new CIC and several stakeholders (some of whom are themselves corporate or public sector bodies) will be invited to nominate Directors 'on behalf of their organisation'. These are being described as 'representatives'.
My understanding is that whilst acting as a Director of the CIC they are NOT 'representing' their employer, but must focus on the best interests of the CIC.
