Does it make financial sense to be a CIO or unincorporated CIO?

Hi
We are a national charity UCIO. We have many branches and we manage our own branch money. Some branches have assets as well as a large pot of money in the bank.
As a Cambridge branch we have very little money and no assets. All branches want to go CIO way. Cambridge branch being very small were thinking of being an UCIO. Any comments from this community will be appreciated.
