How best to find a trustee role

I am wondering what is the best way to find a trustee role.
.I am now retired having been a lawyer and senior manager in a national ethical law firm and a trustee and managing director of a company owned by a discretionary trust.
The profits of the company were distributed to social organisations and charities.
I am not sure how you can be more proactive in finding trustee roles which I can apply for.
I have registered with the Guardian Reach Charity Job Trustees Unlimited and Indeed.
Apologies for the lengthy post and probably too much information!
I was wondering if there is anything else I should be doing and would be grateful for any guidance from anyone who gets this fat !!
