We are an unincorporated charity association looking to register with charity commission. Our last application was rejected, it needed some improvement before resubmitting. By the time we got round to submitting another application to CC our annual turnover has exceeded the legal requirement to register. We have been honest and transparent and informed charity commission about this as we are unregistered trying our best to register.

As the annual turnover is now £25k, we understand you need an independent financial examiner now, at this stage is it wise to have the accounts examined before registering as a CIO or is it sufficient to provide last financial years bank statement?

 We are also looking for ProBono independent financial examiner that might offer the service for free? Anyone know any??
