This question is from a member of our community that wishes to remain anonymous:
An organisation wants to recruit a voluntary income fundraiser, they are in deficit and have generous reserves and unrestricted and are carrying its functions, but they have investments yet are still asking for donors. At a glance their reports show deficit since 2022. What's your take on this position?
Unless they are government or other trust the average donor will not have time to assess this information. They have a reserve a stay 'afloat' but if a donor looks at their financial history without context it might put people of. Can anyone assist??
