I am aware of a UK charity (limited by guarantee - CLG) that has been established solely to channel funds into a director's company. Their for-profit company will offer training courses, while the CLG aims to apply for grants and funding.
The funds obtained by the CLG will then be distributed as small grants to individuals who wish to attend the courses provided by the for-profit company.
Is this practice allowed?
