Hi,
Very grateful for your advice - I'm in the process of setting up a Baby Bank charity, looking at a CIO model.
My question is how best to begin?  Can a founder / trustee resign further down the line and become a salaried employee of the charity (if the trustees approve in accordance with the CIO constitution) or can a founder / CEO be appointed at the start up stage on a voluntary basis  i.e. without any salary until such time as that may be appropriate?
I am fully committed to the charity and my intention would be to be able to work full-time on a (modest) salaried basis when the charity is able to support paid employees at a future date.
I need to make sure the foundations are in place at this stage.
Very many thanks for your help!
Philippa
