CharityConnect: Text/SMS giving for charity dinners

It's been a while since I have had the need for sms donations but I have a big 2000 guest dinner and think text giving could be a quickest and easiest for guests way to secure gifts from a public appeal at the event.

As things move quickly would be interested to know which sms platforms folks are using... would be great to also have a live virtual totaliser for the guests to see the old fashioned thermometer going up throughout the evening at various points.
