Hi everyone! We have a new Trustee coming on board and they have a professional name that they prefer to use, and a legal name. This is absolutely fine in terms of day to day working and background checks will be done on both etc, but the Charity Commission require legal name published on Register unless there's safety concerns. This is not the case, and this is not in relation to gender identity.
My question is, does anyone have suggestions/experience in how we can ensure transparency in governance with this discrepancy, for example, if a service user or public look up their professional name on the register and not find it, etc? Has anyone had any problems with this set up previously?
Thanks for your help!
