Unfair treatment

Leadership

Anonymous user Posted 5 days ago

Hello, I am the CEO of a registered charity of which there are 10 Trustees
At more than one Trustee meeting I have been treated unfairly.  With a very scathing and dismissive attitude. And absolutely no reason for it. I've also received emails from another Trustee which are quite demanding and dismissive. At The last Trustees meeting I was bombarded with demanding questions which were unfair because I could not give the immediate answer to.. I have asked many times in previous meetings could I have some notice  Then I will prepare answers. This is completely ignored and I was shouted down by Trustees at that meeting so much so I almost left and I was  visibly upset.. I raised my concerns with the chair who then said she was not suited to be the chair and she resigned.  Another member of the trust has been voted in and whilst she has been very supportive of me as has the vice chair I have still heard nothing about my report as to the unkindness and unfairness of those Trustees. I have been made aware that one of those Trustee said he will carry on being the same way he is.(but this was said to me in confidence and I cannot reveal the Source.) I am at the point where I'm extremely uncomfortable and looking at ways to not attend the Trustee meetings which is not a good thing.
I have been told by the chair and the vice chair to hang on because things are changing. But this does not address my complaint or my concerns.
I have a good working relationship with the chair and the vice chair and I do not wish to cause any upset but this is still affecting my mental state and I feel totally demoralised
What should I do pls
