What are my options when a fellow director is creating a hostile environment?

Ideas?
I have found myself in conflict with a fellow director. They have perpetrated a hate campaign in a small community, mainly because they have taken on too much work and their failings are being blamed on other people. While the other three directors, who are more hands off, have also borne some of this- it is largely directed against me. 
I come from a Traveller background, and work away for four months of the year. I'm being blamed for the lack of things happening within the organisation despite being honest about my availability. 
We have paid for private mediation, but this was unsuccessful (and poorly managed). 
I am now at the point of wishing to resign. The other party has taken paid work with the organisation and legally shouldn't be a director. We have yet to receive her resignation. 
The other directors are loath to push for this director's resignation. If push for it, it looks like a vendetta.
