What is the marketing lingo?

Promoting your Charity

Hello Everyone,
I'd like to recruit volunteers to help plan our charity's promotion, donation and membership drive.
My main problem is trying to work out the language for this sort of stuff so that I can go to platforms like Reach Volunteering and Digital Boost using the correct key words to describe what we want to do. At least that's where I feel I lack the knowledge after 2 months of looking without result. Words like "marketing" seem to attract the people with the wrong skillset.
Obviously being an environmental scientist and IT expert by trade, my knowledge (& that of the trustees) isn't much help! I've been learning a lot about charities, like Theory of Change, but that's not helping in this case.
Our campaign is so digital-based, without a doubt, so we're looking for a volunteer to advise on strategy and tactics on this range of activities which to my mind is all one subject:
  • creating content for blog posts, tweets, linkedin, podcasts, short videos
  • SEO optimisation and key words for the above
  • choosing appropriate subject material for content
  • call-to-actions on static website pages and donations page
  • adding call-to-actions into content stream above
  • creating a 'voice' for the language in written content, videos, podcasts etc
  • monitoring performance of all the above (above & beyond just donations)
Am I right that this isn't just marketing? Or does it come under SEO? Or "digital marketing"?
