This question is from a member of our community that wishes to remain anonymous:
I am acting as the Company Secretary for a small charity. It was not run correctly and we had to get it restored and we have been up and running for the last 18 months, however this is still a lot we are finding out!
Right now we are getting our accounts in order and have only filed via Companies House, however our accountant has asked if we need to file via HMRC and I don't know. We have not registered with HMRC but need to get Gift Aid as we have had a big donation recently.
We have not paid tax as our income is super small but I am confused as to where we should file our accounts, we are registered on Charity Commission and Companies House (we are a limited company), any thoughts/ advice would be welcome thanks!
