Why, when and how to rebrand?

CharityConnect: Why, when and how to rebrand?
The charity sector has been facing a range of challenges, from GDPR decimating fundraising databases, safeguarding concerns damaging reputations, a loss of funding, an increase in demand for services, and much more. With these challenges often comes change, as some organisations merge, while others may reposition their services or rethink their purpose to address their changing circumstances.
It's these times of organisational change that can often lead to marketers being tasked with urgently communicating these changes to the world. You may need to deepen engagement, drive up giving, encourage volunteering, attract more trust and grant funding, improve talent attraction and retention, or all of the above!
Brand is rightly recognised as a tremendous asset – or a horrible liability – in these endeavours. And, whether it’s their first time, or they’re a seasoned pro, they’ve been appointed to lead a significant project that will demand every ounce of their time, their energy, and their resolve. It’s a journey that will be full of many highlights, and much anxiety.
And if that’s you, "Not-for-profits: Why, when and how to rebrand" has been written with you in mind!

Over to you
What else have we missed? If you've ever been involved in rebranding an organisation, what tips would you share with someone embarking on a similar exercise? What questions do you wish you'd asked, and what would you now do differently?
I'd love to hear from you!
A number of members have already downloaded copies of the Branding brief template and Website brief template I posted about last week, so I hope some of you will also find this brand book/white paper useful.
Thanks, Denise
