I have a personal question or more of a search for advice.
My background is more corporate partnership/contract management from within the private sector. I did transfer to the charity sector for a number of years, where my background helped to better strategically plan, monitor and engage. For personal reasons (caring for a close relative) I needed to take a step away. However, I desire to re-entre the charity sector and once more seek to make a difference.
The challenge I repeatedly face is my lack of charity experience, and organisations seemingly viewing me as too risky. I do see their perspective, especially considering the volume of candidates per vacancy, it’s very tricky. So, any pointers or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
