Charity Trustees elected without first declaring conflicts of interest

I have been involved with a community association (registered charity) for the last year as a volunteer. I was elected as a Trustee in March. It has since become apparent to me that two Trustees elected at the same time as myself failed to declare significant conflicts of interest prior to their appointment.

The conflict of interest is that they are closely connected to the Landlord of the property that our charity leases (from this Landlord).  The said property was left in Trust to the landlord >100 years ago. Our 25 year lease on the property has expired. The Landlord is refusing to renew the lease on the same basis as before (whereby we paid a "peppercorn rent". (which was in line with the terms outlined in the Landlord's trust deeds).

The Landlord now wishes to charge a commercial rent for the building. Our charity could not afford this and would cease to exist.
During discussions with my fellow Trustees on how we should approach the Landlord to  re-negotiate the leasehold (in favour of our charity's objectives - i.e. non-profit operation and management of the community centre for the inclusive use and benefit of local residents) I am constantly confronted by arguments which appear to be serving the interests of the Landlord at the expense of (our own) charity's survival.

I would welcome any advice on how I should approach this and move forward constructively.
