Dissolving a company with CH and converting to a Charity?

Good afternoon.
I'm in the process of converting a company, registered at companies house into a charity. How complicated! I was given some poor advice on how to progress this however, after submission to the charities commission, it has transpired that the information we have acted upon is not accurate and indeed out of date.
Moving forward, could anybody give me some advice on:
1. Dissolving a company with CH and converting to a Charity.
