Hi all - looking for a bit of guidance. A CIC with a founder who currently does everything and receives no remuneration. CIC has been established for a few years and has grown exponentially. The founder cannot work in another salaried job otherwise the CIC would probably not operate at the level it's now expected to. I wondered a few things here:
- can the founder draw a salary?
- who decides what salary the founder can draw?
- what role should our accountant play in this arrangement?
- if the founder is drawing a salary (or even if they don't) should there be some form of governing board to make decisions on how monies are spent generally?
Appreciate any advice on offer. Thanks in advance!
