Moving from desktop to cloud based accounting system—recommendations please!

Finance

Lara Blake Treasurer at VAEF Posted 4 years ago

We're looking at transferring from a very old version (20 years!) of Quickbooks desktop to an online solution.  The top 2 contenders so far are Quickbooks Online and Xero.  However, I came across Xledger recently and thought it looked good. Does anyone have experience using Xledger in their charity?  Is it worth pursuing?  Or are there any good charity specific online accounting systems? I've not heard of any of the ones that came up in my google search so would appreciate anyone's feedback who's used one. Recommendations most appreciated.
We are a medium sized charity (circa £500k income)
Thanks!
