Dear Fraternity
I have been told that the wife of one of the employees has cancer. They have 6 children under 10 years of age.
I am wondering what all we must do to support him both legally as sole carer and compassionately.
My list is below:
- Refer to EAP for his wellbeing
- Allow flexible working to accommodate Chemo of partner, school drops etc,
- Find a adhoc person to cover in case of emergencies as his role needs cover and has alot of dependencies on him org wide
Anything else you will offer do as a compassionate employer and plan for as a practical one??
