I represent a charitable trust which provides unpaid carers with grants and financial support to ease the stresses of their lives. I am a recent addition to the trust and my position was newly created with me. We were formed in 2001 and have served the carers very well and made a huge difference to a lot of people but we could now be doing so much more, hence this being the reason I am now here. I am experienced in managing several charities and consider myself a professional in the NFP field but one area I'd really like to hear about from your experiences is in recruiting new Trustees in to the fold! How have you done it before and to what success has it been? I have been through the process before but in a very different environment when I was running a community theatre which had a lot of people available and willing. Has anyone got a few gems of wisdom?
