I am passionate about equalities, diversity and inclusion and support and inspire others to realise their capability and potential, lifting as I climb. I am sought as a public speaker and often commissioned to write for national and local media.

I am a Non-Executive Director on a number of Boards, including Changing the Chemistry, whose vision is to change the chemistry in the boardroom, so people and boards embrace diversity of thought; and Dance Base, Scotland's National Centre for Dance. Previously I was on the Board at Creative Scotland, the Marketing Society Scotland and Scotland Malawi Partnership. I was a Mentee on the Scottish Government's Board Chair Mentoring Scheme, having been nominated by the Chair of Creative Scotland. The scheme developed the existing talent of Board members to become future Chairs of Public Sector organisations.

I began my career on the Graduate Programme at The Boots Company PLC, now Walgreens Boots Alliance, a global leader in retail and wholesale pharmacy; and have since worked both as a client in entrepreneurial start ups, family companies and in agencies directing client accounts. In 2013 I founded and grew entrepreneurial start up Yellowbook, a strategic, marketing and communications consultancy targeting ambitious growth companies.

I have a Chartered Postgraduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, am a Business Leader with the Marketing Society Scotland and Judge for their Annual STAR Awards.
