Hi, Im Lizzy Hudspith-Spence, Development Officer and Project Co-ordinator at Euphoric Circus CIO, a small youth charity using circus, movement and activity-led youth work to support children and young people across rural communities.
I began my journey with Euphoric Circus as a young person and have worked in the youth and third sector since I was 16. Since then, Ive progressed into youth work, project coordination and organisational development, including securing funding at 17 to complete my Level 3 Youth Work qualification. Im now undertaking a Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship / Applied Leadership and Management BA (Hons), which is helping me develop my skills in charity leadership, governance, business operations, strategy and sustainable organisational growth.
My role includes project coordination, funding development, policy writing, safeguarding, partnership working, youth consultation, targeted youth support, volunteer development and supporting young people into leadership opportunities. Im particularly passionate about inclusive practice, rural youth provision, social action, safeguarding, reflective practice and creating safe spaces where young people can build confidence, resilience, skills and a sense of belonging.
Im joining Charity Connect to learn from others across the sector, share ideas, ask questions, and connect with people working in charity leadership, youth work, governance, fundraising, community development and small charity sustainability.
