Setting up an advisory board & adding new CIC directors

Hello, my first post here! I've been struggling to get the CIC I founded 2 years ago funding and support and have found some quality people to be potential directors as part of an advisory board.
I suppose I have two questions, but both are related:
- Any best practices I should be aware of in relation to setting up an advisory board?
- It seems that there only paper forms (AP01) for adding Directors? I can't seem to find a way on the Company House website to add directors.
